It's the 12th of the month, so that means it's time for 12 of 12--and it's my first time too. (Idea taken from here). And since it's May, the 12th also mean it's my birthday. So this was how my birthday went.
I was awake by 6:30 am. Stayed in bed. Got up. Went back to bed. This was the first thing I saw. By 8:12 am I decided it was time to really get up.
8:15 am - I usually check my email first thing in the morning. Got a few birthday greetings, among other stuff.
8:32 am - In anticipation of all the eating I was going to do, I decided to go for a run... well, more of a walk. I felt I needed to create "eating space." Anyway, I plan to start training for my next marathon starting Monday.
9:07 am - Okay, so it wasn't a very long run/walk but it was still quite a workout.
11:07 am - Kaladkarin, who was in town for meeting, and I decided to meet up for lunch. I was stuck in traffic part of the way--this photo was taken on Sucat Road just before we exited to the highway--but made it to the meeting place with plenty of time to spare. (I was the one who had to wait!)
2:28 pm - K and I had a long lunch at Recipes (Greenbelt). We ordered two dishes each; we were that hungry. And then we went to this new place in Greenbelt called Gelatone for some yummy gelato. K had the lime, I had the Ferrero-flavored one. (And there's K trying to squeeze into the photo.)
8:37 pm - My family and cousins (there were nine of us) went to Westgate for my birthday dinner. We went to this place that had a Japanese-sounding name but served some kind of Chinese cuisine. This is a photo of empty plates.
9:02 pm - Spent some time after dinner just taking photos outside the restaurant and walking around. My family trying to be silly and doing the Japanese/Korean photo pose, hence, the V/peace signs.
9:35 pm - We were full but that didn't mean we weren't going to have dessert. We ended up in Cafe Breton. It was a crepes place but R had banana split anyway. (My family just love ice cream.) His sister N looking in envy.
9:48 pm - I had the Tarzan, which was filled with banana and condensed milk and sprinkled with confectioner's sugar.
11:20 pm - After bringing everyone home, my cousins and I decided to continue my birthday celebration and went out for some beer. However, a liquor ban was to be enforced at midnight because of the elections on Monday. (A lot of people were still out, though, to do some drinking.) However we found a place that was still open and was still serving alcohol. We ordered six bottles right away in case we got cut off. There were only four of us.
1:54 am (Sunday) - We managed to order three more bottles of beer. Sometime before two o'clock in the morning we decided that it might be a good time to go home and go to bed. Technically, it wasn't the 12th of May anymore but it was still part of one fun-filled day.
Bonus photo - Dreamscapes - Taken by my sister during dinner at the restaurant. The photo has a nice perspective it almost throws the subject (me) towards the viewer. Almost surreal.
